The Flatiron Building in Manhattan, on 5th Ave. and 22nd and 23rd streets, is a true historic icon of the city and one of my all-time favorite buildings. I just love the quirky and appealing design, fitting a major highrise into an odd-shaped space. It was completed in 1902, and was one of the tallest buildings in the city at that time.
