Angkor Wat, or "Temple City," is the largest religious monument in the world, with an outer wqall 2.2 miles (3.6 kilometers) long. Built in the early 12th Century and dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu, it has since become associated with Buddhism, the primary religion of Cambodia. Statues of Buddha can be found throughout the complex, often, as here, with monks in prayer.
