I visited Castlerigg Stone Circle while staying in Keswick, and while it's very cool and very impressive (built 3200BC), I was much more interested in the light on the valley beyond the circle. This is St John's in the Vale valley, with Thrilmere lake behind the hills. All the other tourists were hanging out at the circle photographing and exploring; meanwhile I left and wandered to try and get closer to this.



We had hero light like this for almost our entire trip there! Amazing area - we're already planning a trip back!
