The artist Marianne Burgers derived her inspiration for this bench in Park Güell. In the park, designed by the Spanish architect Antoni Gaudí (1852-1926) she saw a meandering bench, which stimulated her to create this "Homage to Gaudi. The bench has a Delft touch thanks to the Delftware shards with which it is covered. Chris Dagradi is responsible for the painting of the bank. Marianne Burgers is very pleased with the location: "The bench also proves to work well, there are many wedding pictures taken here. Moreover, the location is appropriate: Delftware is committing to Prinsenhof Museum."
