ImranAnwar has added a photo to the pool:
Goldelse. Or Golden Lizzy or something, as Berliners refer to this large statute named Victoria, is set atop the #Berlin Victory Column. This 35 ton statute is made of bronze and was set on the victory column which was built to commemorate Germany’s victory over Denmark in the late 1800s. Later victories over Austria and France, etc. gave it even more significance. Among the most visited sites in Berlin, it was moved to this location around 1939 and managed to survive the destruction of Berlin in WWII. It is now asily seen through the columns of the Brandenburg Gate that I will post photos of later. Shining in sunlight it is quite a sight to see.
