rovingmagpie has added a photo to the pool:
Standing up on the Navajo Knobs, the view is 360° of astounding; from the Henry Moutains to the Waterpocket Fold to Boulder Mountain to Torrey to ... I dunno, Cathedral Valley to Hanksville?
Here's a bit looking west, that's the flank of Boulder Mountain on the left behind Mrs Magpie and Route 24 heading for Torrey in the center to help you get oriented.
There was some weather coming in by the time we made it up there. The clouds were thickening up such that I had to wait to get some sun in the photos plus it was ripping windy, tear the hat right off your head and send it to Colorado windy, so there was no getting up to the highest point for the photo and we didn't hang around very long. Mission accomplished.
(mapped point is the "taken from" spot, standing on the Knobs)
