It's about a 400 foot climb up from Wolfscote Dale and the River Dove to the top of Gipsy Bank but after all the rain it gets a bit muddy! We did the 2 1/2 hour circuit from Alstonefield, Narrowdale, Wolfscote Dale, Coldeaton Bridge, Gipsy Bank, Overdale, Alstonefield followed by an excellent lunch in The George in Alstonefield.
