Around the back of Taiyuan loco shed was this partially scrapped engine. It was not possible to determine its identity but it was the first 2-10-2 FD we saw.

The forerunner of the QJ these locomotives were built in the Soviet Union between 1931 and 1942. About 1250 were transferred to China in the late '50s and early '60s & regauged. FDs apparently were so called after the Russian Feliks Dzerzhinskii, organiser of the Bolshevik secret police & perpetrator of the Red Terror!
