erik peterson, photographer has added a photo to the pool:
I spent several hours in Pere Lachaise Cemetery one sunny winter morning in December.
The atmosphere there was amazingly beautiful; I didn't mind particularly strongly that it was a cemetery (and all the implications of which); instead I was focused on the amazing natural light temperature, the rich greens of the mosses, the vibrance of the new growth and the darkness of the shadows. I suppose you can draw all kinds of parallels between that and the fact that it is a cemetery, but I choose not to and simply focused on the pure aesthetic beauty of the area.
This is the third in a series of photographs of some of the beautiful planter boxes built into some of the memorials.
